Are your 6th graders this Genki?

Jaynie has just sent in this fabulous video of her 6th grade class doing the Dance Remix of the Genki English “Days of the Week” song.

Not ice how they even keep up when the order of the days changes!

Do send the kids a nice message in the comments if you think they did well!

P.S. Β Very cool new “North, East, South, West” a4 cards in the forum today!

Hello, I'm Richard Graham. When I was a kid I found school to be sooooo boring... So I transformed my way of teaching. I listened to what the kids were really wanting to say and taught it in ways they really wanted to learn. The results were magical. Now I help teachers just like you teach amazing lessons and double your incomes!

Awesome! That looks like a great group of kids. I can’t lie…your 6th graders are genkier than mine. I’m a bit jealous.

I believe that ‘a lesson said in humor, is long remembered’. This is a classic example of just that! Well done Genkienglish. Keep up the good work.

Humor can make teaching fun and relaxing, creating an environment where children can learn English and retain what they learn. The days of children having to sit in still in place for hours at a time and just stare at the teacher, have long gone. Kin esthetic teaching has to be the way forward for teaching not just children but adults too. Last year I taught a class of 17 students (of mixed levels)using many of the techniques I picked up from Genkienglish. The result? Wow, it was amazing to see the progress and confidence the students developed. Many said that ‘the time went by so quickly that they wished the lessons could be made longer’. These suggestions from Genkienglish really do work. ‘The proof is in the eating’, so why not try the suggestions out for yourselves. And most of all, have fun in teaching!
