Workshop Updates (NZ, Europe, Tokyo added!) + Price Goes Up Again on Jan 31st

The Europe Workshop thread has been busy with lots of teachers asking about workshops in France and Italy, Β so do put a message up there if you are interested. Β  And the Italy Teachers have also started their own Genki English Italy Facebook group, so also do check that out and introduce yourself – the more teachers we have the easier it is to get a workshop going!

The Ukraine and Slovakia workshops are also getting really full, I hope things settle down there soon. Β Stay safe everyone.

In Asia, I’ve just added a new workshop in Tokyo on July 19th, Β I’ll have more details on there when I get them.

I’m currently in New Zealand if anyone wants to catch up for a Steinberger or Tui. πŸ™‚

The view from our bedroom this morning Β – we’re here checking up on the interns we’ve sent to work here!

Also a quick reminder that the Teacher’s Set is going up in price again on Friday (Jan 31st) Β – if you’re on the fence, now is the time!

Plus we’re coming up to the blog comment competition for January, Β your prize is a Genki English vol. of your choice ( or Genki RelaxΒ or Genki German or Genki Japan) so get commenting on any of the posts on the blog and your comment might get picked. Β The winner for December was ….. Stephen

Stephen’s comment was actually on the Happy New Year song – which of course also works fantastically well for Chinese New Year which is this Friday – Happy New Year!

P.S. Β Back to normal tomorrow with a brand new Game!

Richard Graham

Hello, I'm Richard Graham. When I was a kid I found school to be sooooo boring... So I transformed my way of teaching. I listened to what the kids were really wanting to say and taught it in ways they really wanted to learn. The results were magical. Now I help teachers just like you teach amazing lessons and double your incomes!

That’s a great shot of New Zealand. It looks like a scene out of Lord of the Rings!!! Some of us have all the luck. Did you say you still need interns? πŸ™‚ hahaha Have a great time!!!

  2. Richard

Just about everywhere we go is Lord of the Rings! πŸ™‚

We need lots of interns for next year, everyone has been asking for more and the ones who are here are loving it. Gotta be under 30 though! πŸ™‚

Oh, and Stephen, which prize would you like?

  3. Stephen

    Hey Richard,

I would like the Genki Relax CD. I think it is exactly what I need at the moment. Thanks Richard. On an aside, that intern program looks great. Looks like something I could recommend to my students. Another thought – Richard, do you sell Genki English T-shirts? I thought it might be cool for my teachers to wear for kids classes. I have seen the orange shirts you wear….I was thinking, would be awesome to have your own portrait photo ‘genki englishfied’, kind of like an avatar for yourself done as a genki English character. Just a thought.

Cool, just sent off the Genki Relax now!

If you know any students who might be interested in the internships certainly do let them know – it has been amazing to see the changes in the students we’ve sent this year.

And t-shirt wise I haven’t had any for sale for a while ….

The Teacher Set will go up in price this Friday?!
    Will it be much?
    What time Friday? Japan time?
Just asking because I was hoping to grab the GE Teacher Set. But I can’t at the moment because I just handed over a pile of money to open my first school.
    Bad timing for me!
    Anyway, enjoy your view!

    Hi Marcus,
It won’t be going up by that much, but we’ve yet to fix the new price. I usually wait till Jan 31st has just about finished everywhere, so you might just squeeze in on Feb 1st if you’re lucky.

But dude, Genki English should have been the first thing on the list when you opened your school! πŸ™‚

P.S. Actually I am rather curious as to what you had to pay up for when getting started, usually I recommend people start a school with zero upfront!

  7. Marcus

    Thanks for the response Richard.
So I caved and just bought the Teacher Set! Very excited!
I couldn’t resist due to your visual style reminding me of South Park and your songs often sounding like Ween at their most genki!

As for what I paid for getting started I’d say it was rather cheap for the location and the fact that the shop I got is in perfect condition. Starting at zero, like you said, would mean starting in my house but my school is more of a community center for live music, film and other activities – something that can’t be done in my house.

    Hi Marcus,

Fantastic to have you on board! I think you’re going to love the disco warm ups, superheroes etc.!

And your school sounds very interesting, I’d love to hear more about it – do keep us up to date on how things go!

    Hi Richard
Enjoy my country. I have been up that track many times. You were lucky to have good weather
