As you probably know, I’m 99.99999% optimistic and excited about AI.
But there’s something a lot of AI gurus have been saying lately:
That AI has basically killed courses.
“The idea that you have to sit through videos and then do homework is a bit antiquated,” they say,
“when you can just ask ChatGPT or Gemini to Soctratically coach you through a topic.”
And honestly… they’re not completely wrong.
I saw the same thing years ago when I first started helping teachers earn more and get more students.
Many teachers were doing one-to-one lessons, charging too little, struggling to fill classes – so I started sharing all the pro tips people had taught me.
But what kept happening was ….
Well intentioned teachers often didn’t know what they didn’t know.
They’d fix one thing… while quietly missing something far more important.
It was kind of like building a Jenga tower with just one block at the bottom!
And I think that’s the key difference between random advice (or AI prompts) and a good course, you get the things you didn’t even know you needed – like having a solid base in a game of Jenga!
For example this week we’ve started through the business skills for teachers course – the Genki Business Course – and teachers were asking about marketing, hiring, investing, online systems – all great questions.
But those things only work after the foundations are right.
That’s why the Genki Business Course is structured the way it is.
We’re now in year 10, and I’m very confident it covers every side of the teaching business you’ll need, without overwhelm and without guesswork.
You don’t just learn what you want to learn. You’re guided through the right path, in the right order – and shown the pitfalls before you fall into them.
(Marketing is Module 3. Hiring is Module 5. Investing comes much later in Module 8 – etc. )
That structure is what saves time, money, and stress.
So if you want to improve the business side of your teaching take a look at the Genki Business Skills Course.
👉 Enrollment is open until Saturday, and if you join now you can jump straight into the Friday and Sunday group calls (10AM UK Time) and stay aligned with everyone who started this week!
Enjoy,
Be genki,
Richard
P.S. If you prefer to go at your own pace or time zone, there’s also a one-to-one coaching option (at the end of the page here) – where you and I have a call after each module and apply everything directly to your school and situation. It’s not quite as fun as the group calls but it’s there if you need it!
