Eating “Lapin” in France

Hopefully I should be flying back across Russia to China at the moment.

I’ve just spent a very nice few days in France. Genki French should hopefully be ready before the New Year. Even though I was at Uni in Grenoble I didn’t realise just how close France and England are.  Here’s the White Cliffs of Dover, England in the photo, which was taken in Calais, France using a normal cheap camera!

It’s also been great seeing everyone get so much into things on the forum.  Here’s my contribution,  a French meal of “Lapin”,  any ideas what it is?

Richard Graham

Hello, I'm Richard Graham. When I was a kid I found school to be sooooo boring... So I transformed my way of teaching. I listened to what the kids were really wanting to say and taught it in ways they really wanted to learn. The results were magical. Now I help teachers just like you teach amazing lessons and double your incomes!

That is utterly incredible that you can see Dover from Calais. I’ve travelled that way many times and never seen it as close as that. Mind you it is often at night LOL

It is, isn’t it. Just outside Calais there’s a “natural park” and two “caps” where you can see the cliffs. It’s cool to drive along and see England in your side view mirrors!

Oh and watch the tunnel if you’re going to the UK they are still on reduced service after the fire.

Genki French is something I am very, very much looking forward to! I’m studying it myself at the moment with the intention of maybe one day going back to the UK and becoming a real teacher.

What does rabbit taste like?? I always think about cuddly, cut and furry rabbits and must say I could never eat it!

It must be an incredibly beautiful sight! And Lapin looks so delicious. I’ve just seen Flossy’s “Breakfast” video on the forum. You all make me hungry!!
    Richard, is it dinner? 🙂

Hi Richard, I read that you were flying to Russis …then a couple of days of silence…then interesting projects about the weather, and now this…did I miss anything on Russia? I don’t have the opportunity to go anywhere myself and so love reading about the places you go to and what the state of esl is there.

Is it common to eat rabbit? It has to be better than the raw horse (basashi) that is served in Japan. It took me 15 years before I even agreed to try it. It doesn’t taste that bad but definitely not something i would ever order.
