⚑️”How to teach English online” Mini Teacher Training Course

Unit 1: First steps to getting online, Β tech, lighting, what to teach etc.

This first video I did when we first started lockdown in Italy. Β  Β  The tech and education things are all valid, just note how I got the last 3 minutes wrong.

Unit 2: Teachers’ experiences, How to use Zoom and some amazing special effects in ManyCam

This module is in the Facebook Group. Β You don’t have to be a VIP Member to join the Facebook group (although of course it helps!) Β  just be sure to answer the questions so we know you’re a real teacher and not a spammer πŸ™‚

Unit 3: Games Special

Unit 4: Β If this goes on for a year or 2, how will this affect your teaching? Β And why would students join your class? Β Plus lots more questions and advice from teachers who have made the jump online!

This video is again in the Facebook Group so pop over and enjoy!

Hopefully I’ll have a chance to do another live for you and thank you to all the amazing Genki English teachers from around the world who are sharing ideas, questions and videos.

We’re in this for the marathon so let’s continue to bring smiles and some amazing education for our students.

Stay safe and be genki!

Richard

P.S. Β And if you’re needing a little extra help, here are Caroline’s top 3 tips:

1) Believe in yourself and tell yourself you can do it. VERY IMPORTANT!

2) Enjoy it! Remember it’s new for students too.
Be open minded and flexible in your lessons. Don’t expect perfection.

3) Go for it! Have a few practice sessions beforehand.

Hello, I'm Richard Graham. And when I was a kid I found school to be sooooo boring... So I transformed my way of teaching. I listened to what the kids were really wanting to say and taught it in ways they really wanted to learn. The results were magical. So I'm sharing it all with you now...
