โšก๏ธ How to teach English online – Your questions answered

Adults & Kids – both work exceptionally well online!

I’ve been teaching online now for over 20 years to big groups, small groups, kids and adults so hopefully I’ve figured out a few things on what does and doesn’t work.

So I’ve just put up a post on the free Genki English Facebook Group where I can help out and answer your questions about moving your teaching online.

So far we’ve covered:

โšก๏ธThe Tech – what software and hardware to use.

๐Ÿ”– What to teach – the lesson plans and activities

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ง How to teach several students at once ย – from the disciple and tech sides.

๐Ÿ’ƒ How to do songs and games online.ย

You can check those out in the FB group. ย  And do feel free to add your own questions. ย

Ninja Tip: ย  As always, be careful of “butinmy” disease: ย “Ah, but those students are 39 years old and mine are 37 so it can’t possibly work” ย “Ah, but that is in ….. town and I teach in ….. town so it can’t possibly work” ย  ย Alway reframe to be “what can I learn from this example to use in my situation”. ย ย

For those of you in quarantine, the magical phrase is: ย

No worries, we’ll just move the lessons online. ย And don’t worry, I won’t charge anymore for that.

And so far we’re seeing the online lessons be even more fun than the offline ones!!

Enjoy!

Richard Graham

Hello, I'm Richard Graham. And when I was a kid I found school to be sooooo boring... So I transformed my way of teaching. I listened to what the kids were really wanting to say and taught it in ways they really wanted to learn. The results were magical. So I'm sharing it all with you now...
