Little Red Riding Hood 2 – At Grandma’s House!

After the Little Red Riding Hood daily routines, which is crazy easy to teach, then the next step is adding in the “Why do you have …..” phrase at Grandma’s House.   You can find this lesson on the new Vol. 14 and in the Teacher’s Set.

Ninja Tip:  If you follow the curriculum order then the students will have already done “Do you have…?” in the “Do you have any pets?” song.

Work through the language chunks as usual ( or by this time you should have your class learning all the language at home), double check that they know the meanings.   Then ….

1. Choose one child to come to the middle to be Grandma.

2. Then everyone walks in a circle around Grandma singing the Little Red Riding Hood lines!

At this point in the curriculum we can get quite advanced and it is still a really fun lesson with lots of tension – especially at the end when Grandma chases after the Little Red Riding Hoods.   If she catches any of them,  they are the new Grandma for the next repeat of the song! 🙂

Check out Virginie’s amazing class in their school performance!

And here is your evaluation worksheet so the kids can show the parents!

Here is the printable pdf Picture Book ( which also doubles as A4 flashcards!)

And minicards to play some games!

Ninja Tip:  Remember this is in the speaking part of the curriculum so the students are still pre-literate and the pronunciation comes from the software, not from the reading.  The good news is that once we’ve finished this lesson we can finally start the reading ( and writing if you like!) with the Genki Phonics course!

Enjoy!

Be genki,

Richard

P.S.  You can find this lesson on the new Vol. 14 and in this newly updated Teachers’ Set.

Richard Graham

Hello, I'm Richard Graham. When I was a kid I found school to be sooooo boring... So I transformed my way of teaching. I listened to what the kids were really wanting to say and taught it in ways they really wanted to learn. The results were magical. Now I help teachers just like you teach amazing lessons and double your incomes!

Looks great! Something for my junior high students for next year, or, who knows, maybe even before the holidays? Now I need to finally get volume 14 ;-). Do keep up the good work with getting the higher level songs out there, Richard, please! 😉
