So how did I get started with Genki English?

I first started teaching by putting up a card in the local supermarket. Β  Β That was back when I was 16 and living in the UK. Β  Β That’s all it took.

Yeah, my handwriting was nowhere near as neat as this back then πŸ™‚

Then as people started asking me about how I taught and asking for workshops and seminars, I started Genki English by doing a free tour round every school in the country and getting the press to come along and write about it. Β They were more than happy as they are always looking for new things to write about! Β  Β This was when I was 25 and living in Japan. Β ( It took a while!)

One of the very first press cuttings, back when I had hair πŸ™‚

Since then we’ve gone on to help millions of teachers and students around the world.

But it all started in the middle of a recession in the year 2000 dot com crash. Β  Β  So now really is the time to start up your dream business, Β if you make it through the hard times you can thrive for decades to come!

Richard Graham

Hello, I'm Richard Graham. When I was a kid I found school to be sooooo boring... So I transformed my way of teaching. I listened to what the kids were really wanting to say and taught it in ways they really wanted to learn. The results were magical. Now I help teachers just like you teach amazing lessons and double your incomes!
