In the Germany workshop the other week I mentioned a little about TPR storytelling, and had a follow up question on the forum about what I thought of it.

I think it’s really good. I haven’t tried it that much myself in classes, but it very much fits in with the ways of using story telling and TPR that I always have used.Β  The aims and dissatisfaction with traditional teaching are also totally on board with what I’m doing with GE.Β  The main problem I always found was finding suitable material which now seems to have disappeared thanks to Blaine Ray’s materials.

Pages to have a look at are “3 Steps to TPRS“, “Materials & Method” & nice TPR FAQ

The only slight reservation I have now is that some of the material is a little tough for the “one lesson a month” mold, I wonder if I should make my story books more TPR like…

Richard Graham

Hello, I'm Richard Graham. When I was a kid I found school to be sooooo boring... So I transformed my way of teaching. I listened to what the kids were really wanting to say and taught it in ways they really wanted to learn. The results were magical. Now I help teachers just like you teach amazing lessons and double your incomes!
