Split the class into rows of around ten people. Give each team a coloured
balloon and name teams after their balloon colour. The first person in
each row has the balloon between their knees. Then they start a short English
conversation, i.e "Hello, What`s your name?" and the second person
answers, i.e "Hello my name is Asuka." When the conversation
is over, they pass the balloon to the next person between their knees.
The winning team are the first to finish.
If the balloon is dropped it goes back two
places and they must redo the conversation. If the kids pass without talking try
getting them to shout the words they usually enjoy this better!

I didn`t have any balloons to hand but really fancied trying this so I
swopped them for the dodgeballs you have at most elementary schools. Instead
of passing with the knees I turned it into an old basketball drill. You
have to pass the pall round your waist three times before you can pass
it onto the next person in the line. It gets the energy levels really high.
