This is a great game to go with the new "What's your favourite ...
?" theme: ( http://genkienglish.net/favourite.htm )
1. Choose one "What's your favourite ... ?" question, e.g. comic
book, cartoon, movie, food or sport etc.
2. On two small pieces of paper each child writes down their answer to
the question. If you don't teach writing then get the kids to write it
in Japanese.
3. The teacher collects all the bits of paper and then deals them out at
random, one per child.
4. The kids look at the paper they've been given and read what's written
but can't show anyone else!
5. When the teacher says "Go!" the kids go round asking as many
people as they can "What's your favourite ..?" + whatever topic
you have chosen.
6. If the other kid answers with the answer they have on their piece of
paper, they win! The kids who answered writes their name on the back of
the paper and the kid who asked the question goes and asks for another
one from the teacher.
7. Keep going and see who has the most pieces of paper at the end!
This is a bit tougher than some other games, so it's probably best from
4th grade upwards. But it also works well with older kids and adults!
