June is quite a strange month in Japan. It is one of the few
months that doesn't have its own national holiday. People also seem
a little reluctant to plan festivals or events as the rain could come and
spoil it all.
Mind you although it rains quite a lot, it is rarely for for more than
a few hours. It then clears and a you are left with a beautiful day.
It is quite hot and humid in June, just before the Summer heat!
