Q: I don't teach in a public school, I teach private English classes. Is
it OK to use Genki English in these classes? I only ask as a co-worker
was once sued for using (famous characters) in their private classes. -

Yes, please feel free to use Genki English in your classes. In fact many
teachers do. Obviously copying the CDs is illegal, but using them in lessons
where you take money from students is included in the price of the CDs,
so there's no need to worry. Please use them as much as you can!
