(round and round, round and round) Playing on the slide, (up and down, up and down) Wefre playing on the roundabout. (round and round, round and round) (Wefre) Playing in the park. Argh! Are you OK? Yeah, Ifm OK! (Repeat Chorus) This is fun! (Repeat Chorus) Now that was fun! |
This theme is in a similar style to the beach theme, the idea is the kids will learn some language that they can use with
their parents at the park. The one phrase that crops up the most here is
"That was fun" which is something Japanese kids are always wanting
to say!
Game
It's best if you can do this game outside. It's a simple game of real life
karuta, you shout out "swings", "slide", "see-saw"
etc. and the kids have to rush and touch it. Anyone too slow is out!
Or if you are stuck in on a rainy day, try using the pictures of the objects
from the back of the picture book and listen on the CD.
On the CD we also explain the game rules in Japanese ( just in case!),
and run through several variations of the game.
Picture Book: "Can I play?"
This is quite a straightforward book as the kids can understand pretty
much from the pictures. But just like the other books it has an unexpected
twist at the end!
As with the other Kids English themes, once the kids have learnt the song
they can easily understand the picture book, even in one 45 minute lesson.
On the CD there are three recordings of the narration, chose the one according to the kids mood from "Parentese" ( really slow and clear), "Normal" or "Genki".
This theme is available in the Genki English "Kids English" set!
