Living Languages Japanese Review
Unlike the other reviews on this site, where the materials I'd found after
I became fluent in Japanese, this is the course I actually used when I
was first learning.
It is basically just a massive collection of words and phrases. It's not
like Michel Thomas Japanese or Pimsleur Japanese that show you how to put sentences together, but it's more of a massive
boost of vocab and new words.
The only problem with it is that the CD is only in Japanese so the first
few times through you have to read along in the book, which I found to
be really annoying! But once you'd done that you can just leave the CD
playing over and over either as you go to sleep or in the car and eventually
you'll start picking up all the words and phrases.
As I say it's not a Michel Thomas Japanese or Pimsleur Japanese but it's an excellent edition to your collection. It's also very cheap
as well!
