How to use this song...

As with all the Genki English songs, the trick is to first teach the song "a cappella" with no music, then once the kids have just about got it, bring in the music track to make everyone very genki again!

The idea of phonics is that you teach your students the various sounds that English letters have. The advantage of this over simply teaching the alphabet is that once they have mastered the main sounds, they can then read many English words!

You might find this song a little fast at first, and it is, but in the middle section the kids get to repeat, then you'll find they can sing the third version even at the fast speed!
