IΒ΄d like to ask you for help with the Listening Quiz – Do you like animals. Would it be possible to make it a little bit harder by changingΒ the order of the pictures on the worksheet, so that the order of the pictures on the sheet would not correspond with the order of the animals in the song? Thanks a lot.
Hi Danica,
Actually what I like to do when you want different orders is to use the minicards.
1. The kids shuffle the cards.
2. Spread them out on the desk.
3. Put them in “yes” or “no” areas whilst listening to the song.
You can do this with a lot of themes and it saves a whole lot of printing as you can then re-use the mini cards for other games!
Be genki,
Richard
Ninja Tip:Β You can find the minicards on the right hand side of each lesson plan page.
I hope it is okay, but I’ve altered a lot of the mini-card sets. Originally I just changed each set into four colored borders so they could be used optionally for one-card left game. Then to half paper use I made the cards half the size. This way I make four sets (one red, one yellow, one blue, one green) and I can use them for both one card left, go fish, or any other number of mini-card games (board circle, conversation card games). Where should I send them to share them on GenkiEnglish? Of course, they aren’t arranged completely by song, because 18 come on a sheet.
Hi Richard,
I am discovering this quizz! Never seen it before!
I totally agree with you ( regarding mini cards ) but I think what Danika wants is something to hand out or paste in the kid’s notebooks… to show the parents…
@Martin: Easiest way is to email them to me!
@Emmanuelle: They can just stick the kids in their book if that’s what’s needed!
“@Emmanuelle: They can just stick the kids in their book if thatβs whatβs needed!”
Knowing Richard, I DONT’T think that is what he meant to write π
Emmanuelle, like Richard wrote, the minicards should work, but depending upon your OS and programs you have, you might be able do a bit of cutting and pasting to change the order yourself.
Oops, NZ coffee isn’t waking up my typing ability in the morning is it! π
Yes, stick the *cards* in the book!
Or do what Gumby said! π
Actually, I thought you meant “All you need to show the parents is their kid!” Speaking and singing in english, and happy! π
