The tablet is always going to be the heart of learning English at home because that’s the only place kids, and more importantly their parents,  can get the correct sounds at home.

But we also want it to be as an immersive learning experience as we can, not just screen time.

The idea is that the kids, and ideally parents, can play along with the printed games and then hit the picture on the tablet site when they need to check how it’s pronounced.

So I just added another 18 “Magazine” Workbooks to the VIP Printables area (& Teachable course) with bright, colourful posters, minicards, games etc etc. to go along with the tablet learning.

P.S.  We had a great question asking if teachers really do print out workbooks in color for their students, asking if they weren’t too expensive.    The answer is…. if you want better results (the kids are more motivated in colour) and if you want more students – the parents share everything so other parents will see the quality of what you give them, then color is the way to go. Even leaving aside the educational benefits, when you think of it as an ad, you’d never print an ad in black and white!  The trick is to buy the ink in bulk online.  That way you get all the benefits for hardly any extra costs.   And the best answer came from one of the other teachers:

It’s definitely worth it, parents are impressed, kids love it. They get b&w worksheets in school so they really appreciate the colour pages.

And some teachers even print these as A1 or A0 size pictures on the wall, their building ( they are fully scalable!) or even on their car!
