Free EFL / ESL Workshop Video

I’ve just uploaded video of the first hour of my Genki English training workshops. Starting at the very beginning I go through lesson planning, warming up, how to do songs and games and lots and lots of practical hints & tips.

Beginners should see it a few times and experienced teachers can probably pick up a lot of new ideas as well.

Some of you may have seen the video on the site before, but now that it’s on YouTube you can see it full screen and in DVD quality!

Here’s the first part, the other 5 you can find here: Richard’s Workshop Video.
It’s an hour long so skip the latest episode of “Dancing with the Stars” and have a look!

Part 2 is here: Richard’s Workshop Video Part 2

I’d also like to video another “level up” workshop, if anyone would be interested in hosting one!

I wish I had seen something like this when I first started teaching! Thanks for putting it up.

Even though I’ve seen this video before, it was good to see it again for your fantastic energy and ideas! I picked up on different things this time. The dvd quality is really nice!

But the one lady who blocks your face when she stands up bothers me as well as when you step out of camera range. I guess it just shows how important it is to maintain eye contact with the student as they can feel lost without it!!

I really enjoyed the energy and good tips in this video. The ideas for keeping the children listening and interested were wonderful. I have a few new, very chatty youngsters this term! The instant response idea will be perfect for them.

Carol also made a good point about eye contact. I too felt I was missing something when I could not see the actions.

Looking forward to checking out the other episodes!!
