Quite a few of you write in to ask me “How do I answer when the kids ask “Why are we learning English?””
There are many reasons of course, Β but one thing to realize is that the kids of this generation aren’t the same as when we went to school. Β They aren’t brainwashed by national TV and newspapers ( because they never watch or read them!) Β instead it’s the Instagram and social media influencers they look to. Β Which makes our job a whole lot easier :
And of course, always make sure we are teaching what they want to learn in a way they want to learn it!Β
