I wrote this last year in Kyiv, so figured today is as good as any to finish it and get it online.
It is unbelievable to think this war has been a year.
I have been astounded by the bravery and strength of all my Ukrainian friends. You have become the heroes & inspiration of the world.
And of course I have been so disappointed in those that caused all this suffering.
My family are the lucky ones, we got out safely, for which we are so grateful.
But even we suffer a year on.
And millions more are in a far, far worse situation, kids growing up without fathers, mothers not knowing if they can ever return home.
But for 2 minutes today, here is what Kyiv felt like one January evening in 2022.
Relaxed, beautiful, powerful, peaceful. And one day soon it will be again.
