Having kids saying words in English is pretty cool.
Hearing them say whole sentences is *very* cool.
Hearing them make up whole new spontaneous sentences they’ve never seen before … that’s the best!
So, by popular request, here’s the brand newย Trick or Treat vs.ย Pirate Beards version of ย “The One” Card Games
WARNING: You will laugh out loud when you see these – everyone in Starbucks was staring at me the first time I saw them!
(Gameย rules are here)
Plus don’t forget the funky stickers!
Gaz is still working on more worksheets and printables for you.
But unlike previous albums where we’ve done *every* worksheet for *every* theme (you wouldn’t believe how much work is involved!) this time we’re just going to do a few and if you have requests we’ll make them up for you.
Does that sound fair?
You can either request here on theย blog comments or over on theย VIP forum,
Enjoy!
Richard
Richard and Gaz, thank you so much for all the incredibly creative work that you have done. These cards are so funny!
It is going to take me a long to time go through and absorb all the new stuff. I ended up changing all the lessons of one school next month so I can include the fun holiday songs!
There is just so much variation and I love the way you recycle the vocabulary to help students learn even more.
I have one request of BW of the 3 different monsters in the Let’s make a monster. Not the body parts, but the whole monster.
You wrote in an earlier post where we find the time to include coloring in our classes. Usually I just leave it for them to do at home, but this such a wonderful way to include the little ones. Teachers say the body part and color. Students listen and color the appropriate body part. Then they add a name plus whatever we are working on (like, can, have). It’s a great way to personalize.
Looks like lots of fun, although I’m not sure I’ll be able to use them this year (I’d need two full lessons to cover the vocab). Halloween should be a lot more fun this year with Vol 12 ๐
Just one little typo: the Frankenstein skip and reverse cards are misspelled as “Frankenstien”. Not a big deal and the kids probably aren’t going to learn the spelling of Frankenstein, but as long as it’s an easy fix it might be worth doing.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Here you go Gumby, black and white monsters!
If you do it like in this game you can also add in shapes to the colours!
Thank you! Thank you! and Thank you! Just what I needed for next weeks’ lessons. Wonderful.
You are also right about the game. I made aliens with the Mr Octopus theme, and the kids had a great time.
I will see how things go with this bunch and decide then which route I will take. Either way I know the kids would love the pictures. Maybe one day, they can decide the colors while the teachers color, and the next day the draw their own. (don’t know about your kids but mine could color ALL DAY)
Is there end to perfection? I guess GE proves there never will be! WOW my kids were already in love with the GE games, but Do not Open! was a blast!!! I can’t find the right words and emotions to describe what was happening in my class. Thank you, Richard and the team for your creativity and making our lives easier.
Glad you like it Miah!!
Maybe you’ll like this one too?
thank you so much, and really I will say the same types of things as everyone, but just had to say thank you for the comment “don’t open!” I laughed so much! Like, it is saying “open please!” I love it! Thank you! Kerrie
