As you’re reading this I’ll hopefully be back in Tanzania to do the next stage of our East Africa project. The final goal apparently being to have Genki English and Genki Phonics helping every school in the country. Fingers crossed.

It is amazing to think that all the hard work we’ve all been doing (I couldn’t have done it without all your support) gets such an amazing result with the kids and students over there. Here’s what they wrote …..
Key Findings
1.1 “Based on a variety of analyses, it has been confirmed that the TEE intervention had a significant,
positive and robust impact on students’ learning outcomes”, (Schlemmer, Harvard University, 2012).1.2 Average student improvement shown on post course tests compared with the pre course tests was
60% over all eight tests; and in specific tests – writing (123%) and English comprehension (75%).“At the beginning of the course they couldn’t read a single sentence, but now they can read a book”
