Day 10: Should you teach English lessons all in English?

Day 10: The big one today, how much English to use in English class!

Day 10 of the 21 Day “Be an even better teacher” Challenge.

Let me know if you agree with me in the comments and indeed if you disagree, just keep it nice and positiveΒ

P.S. Always be careful of people telling you to teach “all English” when they themselves don’t speak another language!

P.P.S. If you don’t speak your students’ language you have two options.

Get by.

Or Get Fluent.

One of these will be the single biggest thing you do to improve your quality of life if you live overseas. Can you guess which one?Β

Yes, I agree Richard, if you only speak english and the level is too high for students they also loose concentration and motivation.

Hi, Richard ! When I saw the title of the video , I disagreed, but after listening to your logical explanations , I changed my point of view . This is exactly what I have been struggling from on my lessons. My boss wanted my lessons be only inEnglish and Isaw that my kids didn’t understand the material , I thought , they would understand in future , but it meant a long process . So thank you for a really useful advice
    I will use it today!!!!
