Eigo Note won’t be scrapped

According to the Yomiuri Newspaper (English version here) the Eigo Note “textbook” for elementary schools won’t now be scrapped after all. Β It was decided earlier in the year to scrap the printing and distribution for next year due to budget cuts, but now it looks like it’s had enough support from teachers to be re-instated.

It does pay to make your voice heard to the Ministry!

    Does it really pay?

I talked to a person from the “Office for international affaris” (Would this be ε›½ιš›θ¦ͺε–„ζ•™δΌšοΌ‰
He is getting payed by the city, but he isn’t a koumuin. So he has some more freedom to behonest, but still can’t really do what he wants.

Anyway, we talked about several interesting things, and he just stated what we have been guessing already: This is what he told me:

“It’s all not about the budget. There is more than enough money to do even more things. It’s all about interest. They are just not interested at all!”

Okay, and if I hear this, than I really think that I won’t waste my time and energy to raise my voice, but go on doing my things, hopefully shining brightly~so maybe some day they get some interest, or the kids I’m teaching now become koumuin.
