In a cheerful village, May Day was near.ย 

Lily, Sam, and their friends gathered around the Maypole.ย 

They wanted to dance.ย 

But they saw something strange.ย 

The ribbons were all white!ย 

The colors had disappeared!

They searched high and low for the missing colors.ย 

They looked in the park.

They looked in the school.

They looked in the market, the library, and even the pool.ย 

But they couldn’t find the colors anywhere.

Then, Sam had a brilliant idea!ย 

Lily and the others loved it too.ย 

They found red gloves.

They found orange socks.

They found yellow flowers, green leaves, and a big blue box.

They put the found items onto the ribbons.ย 

Before their eyes was a Rainbow Maypole!

The children clapped and cheered.ย 

They held the rainbow ribbons and danced together.ย 

This was the most colorful May Day ever!

Narrator: In a cheerful village, May Day was near.

Lily: (excited) I can’t wait to dance around the Maypole!

Sam: Me too! Let’s gather our friends and start the dance.

(Scene 2: Children gathered around the Maypole)

Narrator: Lily, Sam, and their friends gathered around the Maypole.

Lily: (surprised) Look! The ribbons are all white!

Sam: The colors have disappeared!

(Scene 3: Children searching for colors)

Narrator: They searched high and low for the missing colors.

Lily: (searching) Let’s look in the park.

Sam: (searching) And the school.

Lily: (searching) Letโ€™s look in the market, the library, and even the pool!

Narrator: But they couldn’t find the colors anywhere.

(Scene 4: Sam’s idea)

Sam: (excited) I have an idea! Why don’t we use items we find to color the ribbons?

Lily: (smiling) That’s a brilliant idea, Sam!

(Scene 5: Children finding colorful items)

Narrator: They found red gloves.ย  They found orange socks.ย  They found yellow flowers, green leaves, and a big blue box.

(Scene 6: Children attach items to the ribbons)

Narrator: They put the found items onto the ribbons,ย 

Sam & Lily:ย  Wow!ย  A Rainbow Maypole!

(Scene 7: Children dancing around the Maypole)

Narrator: The children clapped and cheered.

Lily: (holding a ribbon) Let’s dance around the Rainbow Maypole!

Sam: (holding a ribbon) This is the most colorful May Day ever!

Narrator: And so, Lily, Sam, and their friends danced around the Rainbow Maypole, making this May Day the most colorful May Day ever!
