When you’re choosing your students, you get to choose which students you have. You choose them first, you define who you want and then you start attracting them. You don’t just take any old students. Take the ones you want.
We’re in the mountains today and mountains split people into different groups. So do you want the people who just take a Sunday stroll, when it’s snowing they fancy bit of a walk? Or do you want the people who are serious about it and they want to learn how to get right to the top of the mountain and do it in the best, fastest time?
Out of those two, who are the students you want? Do you want the students who are just up for a bit of a chat, a play around, a bit of learning a little bit? Or do you want the really serious ones who want to learn the best techniques for getting up the mountain really quickly?
You get to choose. They’re both out there.
There are more than enough teachers. There are more than enough students.
So are you going for a quick Sunday stroll or to go up the mountains?
You choose. I’m Richard from Genki English.
