❌ Two things you’re doing wrong in your English teaching

If you find your kids being a little lackluster in their singing or output, the way to fix this is just like how we conquered the 4 minute mile
 
We simply change the goal of the “input” section of the lesson.
 
Instead of just “playing” the song for the kids, we want to set the goal to be to teach the kids how to sing the Genki English song – with PASSION! – in the 15 minutes.
 
Just this one little shift from “doing the song” to “let’s get the kids able to sing it with passion” gets a completely different result.
 
How do we do it?
 
Just think like a music teacher ….
 
1. Teach words ( which we already do)
 
2. Teach each line “acapella” with no music with the aim to get them able to passionately sing even without the music.
 
3. Keep the final magical performance for the end of the input section.
 
You’ve got 15 minutes so it’s plenty of time, but this one simple shift will completely transform the results you get.
 
And of course once you’ve got this in place the output stage of the lesson becomes WAY easier 🙂
