Over on the VIP forum Amye wrote up a few words:
-I am in the process of making a teacher’s guide which has instructions and hopefully an answer key. This will hopefully clarify what one is supposed to do with some of the more confusing pages.
-The pages with genkienglish.com (the back for card sets) is for if you print the entire book out in one go. They usually come after a cutting page.
-I used full colour backgrounds as my kids want nothing to do with B&W paper haha, but I am definitely thinking of making a more ink-friendly version if there is interest.
I think it’s amazing what Amye has done, thank you so much for sending it in!
And if you have comments for Amye please do write them on the blog comments, or indeed if you’d like to see further books made for the other Genki English levels!

Its great and the timing is perfect for me. I was just starting to make my own worksheets for my new class starting in April. Amye did much better work than me and I hope you can do the same for other levels. Also, I hope the teacher’s manual and answer key will be ready soon.
I’ve been using these for a few weeks now.
Kids loved the spinning wheel. I laminated it and used a spinning pointer from my Twister game.
In fact many of the pages work well laminated and reused as different activities.
Many of the pages work well as springboards for speeches and presentations.
They inspired me to create a few of my own.

Great stuff for the younger kids. This is one of the advantages of the new levels. The community can share great materials that others can use. I’m not good at all with graphics so it’s great to get these resources from others who are obviously very talented. I’d like to get my students doing 1 presentation/activity and/or some kind of challenge at each level that captures learning from the whole level.
Oh wow~! Thank you everyone! I am currently moving at snail’s pace working on the Teacher’s Guide and the next (Brainy) level. Haha but hopefully I will be able to post them soon! This has been great motivation to get me into gear~!
This really is an amazing piece of work. At first I was a little turned off by it because it reminded me a little of the young learner workbook the school I work at uses, but this actually is pretty perfect for what it is DESIGNED for. An every day preschool English class. My classes are only twice a week, so having a workbook that doesn’t tackle ANY English seems silly to me. However, I would use this any day over the junk my school gives the parents.

Thank you Amye, your ideas are ideal for younger children. Iβm sure to put quite a few of your pages to good use. Itβs good to have colour to use as an example in class but black and white would allow for me to provide individual prints for each child. My groups look forward to a few minutes within a lesson to acquire a work sheet, or appropiate colouring page. The super hero picture will be a sure hit.

I have finished the Teacher’s Guides and have uploaded them on the original thread (in the first post). Please take a look and let me know if you have found a mistake! I’m doing my best to get the next level (Brainy) out, but if you could spare a few minutes to answer some of my questions in the forum it could speed up the production rate~! ^^ Thank you again GE community!
