I’m working on a new clothes theme (separate from the Winter Clothes one) and was wanting your input as to

a) Which clothes to includeΒ  (remember a max of 8 for one lesson!)

b) What question to use with the clothes.

I’ve got a few ideas and we’ve been talking about more on the forum, but as there are so many possibilities here I’d very much like to hear which ones you’d like to see included!

    Hello Richard!!

I am very happy to see you in person in the ETJ Expo (Chubu) last Sunday.

As to the clothes theme, is it possible to have the national costumes or unique clothings of different countries?

    thank you

    Hi Richard,
this is one of the topics I don’t like to teach. The simple grammar question would be: “What are you wearing today” but this is so stupid, because it’s obvious what everybody is wearing. Of course I can do games, by one person closing the eyes, and guessing, …But it’s hard to get vivid real communication.
So maybe for the questions with this topic something higher level would work better? Like “It’s hot. What are you going to wear?” or “What should I wear?”…Or thinking of occasions to wear things: A kid who’s going to school: “I have to wear…” A kid who’s going to play in the mud: “I have to wear…”
Sorry, this is not really helpful, would be great if somebody had an idea besides “What are you wearing ”

    Thanks
    Margit

    Hi Richard,

I think it’s great that you’re expanding the “Clothes theme”, after all it’s something we are confronted with every day.

    Suitable additions would be:
Skirt, dress, shorts, trousers/pants, swimsuit, jacket, T-shirt, sandels / shoes / flip flops.

    Suitable questions could be:
    put on your…
    take off your…
    What are you wearing?….
    What should I wear?…
What do you want to wear today?…(for younger children)
    Where’s your…. jacket?
If you’re hot, take off your….
If you’re cold put on your…..

Hope this is of some use
    Take care
    Martina
