I’m in Fukuoka this week for the ETJ Conference this weekend. Β I won’t beΒ presenting, but feel free to catch me for a chat!
And seeing as it’s now December, here’s a quick video of the Christmas lights in Japan!
And you should see all the comments on the Youtube channel!
P.S. Although I look quite Genki in the video, I’m absolutely shattered this week doing the master recordings for Vol. 11 I often forget just how much work (and expense!) goes into making each CD. Β I can’t believe I’ve made ten of them!
SHOCK! It’s December?! I think I slept this one over!
Yeah, the Santa thing is weird and tough here.
I have many kids where Santa comes, but then in the same class there are kids where he doesn’t come. One girl told me yesterday, when I taught them “Christmas Stocking” that she used to hang it up but Santa hadn’t put in anything.
Another girl said “We are a temple, so we don’t even have a Christmas tree”.
We celebrate it “German,” with the Christkind bringing the presents on the 24th in the evening)
So, Christmas, may seem very simple, but it is the most difficult cultural lesson to teach for me here in Japan. GE makes it much easier, as it focusses more on what every child knows and loves about Christmas~ the religious aspects and others I can add little by little and case by case.
You DO look GENKI and Great Richard. Sounds so different from a year ago. And the glasses suit you really well!
Vol 11 looks great! Congrats!
You look smart and Great!I’m so looking forward to the VOL 11.
