Cut Out Christmas Markets

In March I wrote about the Meddybemps cut-out village which is great for lessons involving directions. e.g. Left & Right,Β  Where are you going? or even the Eigo Note.Β Β  Over on the forum there is a thread about cultural lessons and directions, so today I just checked on the Meddybemps site and they have a special Christmas Markets Village to cut out and make.Β  The free pdfs are on the lower left of the page.Β  Christmas Markets are hugely popular in Europe at the moment.Β  Here’s to mulled wine andΒ  mince pies!

These cut outs are really great. I made them for the fruit market theme a little while back. The children enjoyed cutting them out. They are a little harder to stick together, but well worth the effort.

I can’t wait to go to a couple of the christmas markets here in Austria, I love them. There are so many wonderful things to eat and drink. It is also a great place to get some traditional gifts to send or take back to the ‘Old Country.’
