“Falling Petals” Posters

I’ve got something very special for you today. It’s a calendar for my learning Japanese site. But …. because of the special format I’ve presented it in if you print it out and shake it hard enough the petals actually fall from the page!

You have to shake it fairly hard and it has to be printed in color, but it should work with any make of printer.

If you can’t get it to work, just write up in the comments ( https://genkienglish.net/teaching/falling-petals-posters) the make of your computer and I’ll see what we can do!

Enjoy!

That’s amazing! I would never have thought it possible until I tried it. Thanks for all of your wonderful ideas. Have a wonderful April!

Works like a charm! Thank you!!

I cannot even get it to print out? What should I do? Only the words above (not the calendar at all) print out. I have a HP Photosmart (touch smart/print/scan/copy) printer. I really want to see it work!

    Hi Richard!

What a great idea to hide the cute GenkiEnglish characters under the petals!

And the fallen pink petals smell like real cherry tree flowers! I’ve collected them, put into a bowl with water and placed the bowl in the middle of my room. Now when I close my eyes I can imagine myself being in Japan.

Thank you very much for the pleasure!

Wow, genius. This is really amazing. The only sad side about this is that people now have a reason less to visit Japan.
So let me just in case say:
    These petals are really really beautiful but they are not comparable with the real Cherry blossoms;
Have a great Cherry blossom viewing !!

Just what I needed! We still have 170cm of snow in our town, and our cherry trees are still hibernating. Thanks for giving me another reason to smile!

Okay, I might need to get a refund on my printer because it did’nt work! 🙂

    Have a great spring!!

Hello, I tried to print out the calendar on a Pixus iX5000 and it just printed a plain picture of it…am I just dumb for thinking it, or will the petals really fall from the calendar?! How does one print this out to get it to work?

  11. Joe

ah, I’m really, really stupid xD

  12. Julia

    Hi Joe!

Thanks for your comments! It seems like you’ve enjoyed the calendar much more than the others. You surely have got ‘the child in your eyes’. And this is what a person needs to teach young learners. Good luck!

    Hi Margit!

Thank you for your wishes! I hope they come true someday! Best wishes to you, too!

    Happy April to everybody!

    Dear Richard ,
    Dear everyone,
Really nice idea, although I agree with Paulbecky that
the “Scratch N Sniff” was even more amazing.
    Have a great April!
    Best wishes from Vienna (Austria)
