Teaching Genki English is one thing but learning this way is a whole other ball game!

And today you can experience what it feels like yourself with Virginie’s Genki French version of “What does Santa do?”   (The Genki English version is here)

How does the song make you feel as a student?  Excited? Bored? Wanting to do more?  Or maybe something else?

What about the “All French” environment, how does that make you feel?  Did you feel you needed help with translations?  Or would have subtitles been off-putting?

And does it help that the song is sung by a native speaker teacher?  Or would someone from a non-French speaking country have done just as good a job?

Lots to think about when we are in the students’ shoes! 🙂
