⚡️ How to teach English online – Your questions answered

Adults & Kids – both work exceptionally well online!

I’ve been teaching online now for over 20 years to big groups, small groups, kids and adults so hopefully I’ve figured out a few things on what does and doesn’t work.

So I’ve just put up a post on the free Genki English Facebook Group where I can help out and answer your questions about moving your teaching online.

So far we’ve covered:

⚡️The Tech – what software and hardware to use.

🔖 What to teach – the lesson plans and activities

👩‍👧‍👧 How to teach several students at once  – from the disciple and tech sides.

💃 How to do songs and games online.

You can check those out in the FB group.   And do feel free to add your own questions.

Ninja Tip:   As always, be careful of “butinmy” disease:  “Ah, but those students are 39 years old and mine are 37 so it can’t possibly work”  “Ah, but that is in ….. town and I teach in ….. town so it can’t possibly work”    Alway reframe to be “what can I learn from this example to use in my situation”.

For those of you in quarantine, the magical phrase is:

No worries, we’ll just move the lessons online.  And don’t worry, I won’t charge anymore for that.

And so far we’re seeing the online lessons be even more fun than the offline ones!!

Enjoy!
