As you know that with the exception of Michel Thomas, it’s very, very rare that I recommend other materials for learning languages.
They are more often than not soooooo boring, really outdated or just have terrible ways of teaching.
So today I’ve got a new, free, site that although has a few small mistakes, I’ve been using all week and it is AWESOME!
It’s called BaBaDum and it is like the Genki English games for learning 1,500 words in any of 21 different languages. It flows beautifully, the game dynamic is just the type of game I’d been planning to make, and it works on mobile, tablets and PCs.
Do yourself a favour, get all your students on it AND get learning that language YOU’VE always wanted to learn so you can see how it works for yourself.
I think you’re going to love it!
Be genki,
Richard
P.S. And of course you’re still going to need Genki English for all the grammar and phrase structures, but it’s a fantastic vocab boost – 1,500 words in week I reckon! Anyone want to challenge me before I head to Minsk?
This is wonderful. Thank you for recommending it. I used it in my mixed elementary class(5th/6th grade) at a small school for the 2nd time as a warm up yesterday.
They are currently enjoying Where is Mr. Monkey? !
Thank you always.
