Yesterday we had Ninja Communicators, today we have Samurai Hats, Β who knows what we’ll have as I move to the workshops in Vietnam and then Europe next week!
The Prep
1. Everyone makes an origami Samurai Hat Β ( check out the instructions here)
2. Everyone fastens a minicard from today’s lesson to the front of their hat.
3. Everyone also gets 4 or 5 playing cards (or gaming chips)
The Game
- The kids make pairs and ask each other Β the question from today’s lessonΒ Β (e.g. Where is Mr Monkey? )
- They each answer using the card fastened to their opponents samurai hat! (e.g. He’s under the dragon etc.)
- Then they Rock, Paper, Scissors.
- Then loser then gives the winner a playing card (or gaming chip)
- Then they both must swap hats.
- Repeat from step 1
Pretty cool, they get lots of practice at today’s question & answers (lots of adrenaline as in the rush you never really know what you are going to have to answer!) and at the end of the game the winner is the person with the most playing cards (or gaming chips)
