Picture Cards without Words

I’ve had requests from a few teachers for versions of the picture cards without any words on them. The idea being to stop kids who haven’t done English phonics yet trying to read the words with their own language’s reading system and hence messing up the pronunciation.

Luckily Gaz has just re-done the whole set of cards for the first 4 Genki English volumes!

    I did this with the mini-cards…but I’ve since gone back to including the words, so the Chinese teachers can know what the cards represent.

    I’ll do the same thing myself, I’ll play whatever game in Chinese to help with my Chinese. I’ve also made modified half-sized flashcards and originally I put the words on the cards but not very clearly, but then the kids still strain to read it…so either NO WORDS or have the word bright and easy to read. I keep oscillating between positions.
