Pirate Princesses Emotions Flashcards (Advanced!)

(The song is also on Tik Tok, ย Instagram, Facebookย aswell asย Youtube!)

Earlier in the year I was working on a project to help kids ( & adults!) deal with emotions.

Apparently one of the most useful steps is to be able to identify and then label the different emotions that we feel during the day.*

So with a little help I did these advanced emotions flashcards:

Obviously they are a much higher English level than the beginners’ How are you? lesson and they haven’t been fully tested yet (and of course I’m not a child psychologist!), but if you have any advanced level students or indeed native speaker kids they might be of use to you?

VIP Members (you’re a VIP member when you have the Genki English Teacher’s Set!) can download the A4 cards here & the mini cards here!

Do let me know how you get on with them!

P.S. ย If you are looking to learn about emotions, ย by far the biggest help I’ve found is with the stoic idea of โ€œBetween stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response.” ย – it’s a powerful tool to learn! ย But again, always check with a professional, I’m not a mental health expert!

P.P.S. ย *Apparantly once you can identify an emotion you can start to investigate how it is caused and then have the power to decide if you wish to do something about it.
