The world is desperate for great teachers like yourself.  Just look at these stats from the Global Learning Xprize.

57 Million:  The number of children ages 5-12 that do not attend school worldwide

250 Million:  Number of children below basic literacy even after several years of school

1.6 Million:  Additional teachers necessary to achieve universal primary education by 2015.  (Needless to say we didn’t make it)

3.3. Million: Additional teachers necessary by 2020

$129 Billion:  Amount spent on schools and teachers that have no impact on learning

Wow.  That gives you a kick start.

It is hard.  Very hard.   But let’s make that $129 Billion count to some *amazing* lessons for your students!
