Here’s Mido’s game of the week:

shineonme

1. Put the kids in two groups.

2. Draw a human a human figure (for practicing “My … hurts”) or put today’s
flashcards on the board.

3. Call one student from each group to come to the front.

4. Give both students a flashlight.

5. Ask the two students to turn their backs to the board.

6. They then shout out today’s question e.g. “What did you do?” or “Are you
OK?

7. The teacher chooses one of the other students who then shouts out one of the
answers from the board.

8. The first of the flashlight students to correctly turn around and shine their
flashlight on the correct answer is the winner and gets a point!

9. The fastest student gets to try again and the slower student gets replaced by
someone else on their team!

10. Repeat from step 6.

Kids will love the opportunity to use flashlights. If you don’t have a flashlight, just download a flashlight app onto your cell phone. It’s also a ninja safety tip of mine. Most people don’t check their flashlight batteries, but we check cell phone batteries everyday. In case of emergency, please download a flashlight app onto your cell phone.

Mido’s games are cool! My kids like them very much. Thanks!
But what if a student gets really upset after some ineffectual tries?

    You just try again! 🙂
