Cool game to add third person He/She options to any English lesson!

Time is always a challenge for teachers. Β So we always have to make choices as to what is the most important and useful language to teach first.

That’s whyΒ my curriculum ends up full of questions, Β which the kids want to ask all the time, and things like numbers & colors end up being much later than you might think.

It’s also why nearly all the questions are in the You/I form. Β  Kids, and humans in general, for better or worse, tend to use You & I for more than 80% of daily communication with he/she adding less than 20%.

In class teaching we want to stick to a similar ratio. Β So although there is of course the Β he, she, we, they etc.Β lesson, at least 80% of class time wants to be on You & I.

And, with the magic of games you can easily add in he/she/we/they etc. into any Genki lesson to make up that 20%.

And the best game to do it with is the Genki Grammar Tic Tac Toe game – ( I think we need a better name for that one!) Β – to which Chu wrote:

Enjoy!
