If your students have completed the Genki Phonics programme  here’s a very quick and very silly review!

1.  Sit the kids on chairs in a row.

2.  Sing the ABC Phonics Review Song:

3.  When they sing the letters that are sitting on the line (i.e.   a c e i k m n o r s t u v w x z) they sing them sat down on the chair.

4.  But …. when they sing a letter that jumps below the line (i.e.   f g j p q y) they have to jump off their chair and crouch on the floor.

5.  And ….. when they sing a letter that has a tall line i.e. b d h l  they have to jump up in the air!

Ninja Tip:  You might want to practice with the slow version from the Teacher’s Set before doing the faster Youtube one above 🙂

As I say, very silly, but great to show parents 🙂

And as always remember the key to amazing results is speaking first,  then reading using phonics (e.g. Genki Phonics )  then you can try reviews such as this song.  (And then finally writing)

Ninja Tip:  Or you can of course do ABCs and reading first if you have classes where you don’t mind if they can speak well or not. 🙂
