Pirates of the Caribbean Shapes Game!

This is a fun little game to get younger kids into doing EnglishΒ presentations.

As a fun way of introducing the vocab in the new Shapes Lesson (free demo here!) , you tell the kids (in their own language of course)

“Did you hear? Β Jack Sparrow’s getting a new hat! What shape do you think it will be?”

Then if they shout out any of the shapes in the lesson you teach that shape in English to them then. (Much better than just teaching a list!)

Finally once you’ve done the song and maybe a game, you get the kids to think of what shape they think Jack’s new hat will be and get them to draw a picture of it!

Then they come to the front and present their picture to everyone with:

“Hello, I’m Jack Sparrow. Β This is my new hat! Β It’s a circle.” etc. etc.

Lots of fun, very simple, a great confidence booster and a brilliant way to lead into other presentation lessons like Treasure Adventure or I’m a superhero!

What will your kids come up with?

Richard Graham

Hello, I'm Richard Graham. When I was a kid I found school to be sooooo boring... So I transformed my way of teaching. I listened to what the kids were really wanting to say and taught it in ways they really wanted to learn. The results were magical. Now I help teachers just like you teach amazing lessons and double your incomes!
