You always get the best results when you work through the Genki curriculum in order (it’s all in baby steps so makes things easy!), but it’s always fun to add in more topical lessons to spice things up!   My top 3 suggestions for January are :

1. Winter Sports – with some great games!

2. Winter Clothes – with the very operatic Baby Monkey!

3. Make a Face ( this one is based on a popular Japanese New Year game!) 

Plus of course your could try the Make a Snowman lesson for body parts!

Starting off the New Year with a big review of everything you’ve done so far can also be great,  you can check out some of my best review games here including The Secret Warm Ups,  Hop to the Dog  & Step in it games!

Get an early start on February?

If you’re wanting to make an early start on February then the Valentine’s lesson is always super popular!

If you want to be the coolest teacher this year …

I think a LOT of kids got Fortnite as a present this year,  so don’t forget to mention that the Genki Disco Warm Up music was used in Fornite – you’ll be the coolest teacher in school!  ( You can also mention the Genki Tik Tok channel too if you want to be even cooler!)

And for the parents we have the 2025 calendars all made up and ready to go!   Every day the kids do some Genki English homework (Tik Tok excluded 🙂 ) ,  the parents sign it and the kids compete to see who can get the most marks every month!   VIP members can download them below!
