πŸ‘Έ Linking themes together, the 3 Little Pigs & more stories….

Quite a few teachers have asked for help on linking themes together e.g. where kids have got awesome at using the language for one theme but then how to mix that together with the language from other themes.

There are two main strategies for this:

  1. Β The Secret Warm Ups & Pink FishΒ
  2. Β Stories!

For the stories part we’ve got a few different options.

Over in the old VIP Forum Gumby has collated together lots of fantastic play and skit ideas to link together themes.

And then in the main Genki English curriculum we have several story based lessons that build on what has gone before:

Β  Goldilocks & the 3 Bears
The Bremen Town Musicians – linking together the β€œDoctor, Doctor” β€œWhat do you want to do?” and β€œWhere are you going?” lessons.
Gingerbread Man – with “How are you?” “I’m hungry” etc.

Little Red Riding Hood 2 – At Grandma’s House

And one more story I always used to do in my lessons but haven’t written a song for, because nothing compares to the musical genius that was Frank Churchill, is the 3 Little Pigs.🐷🐷🐷

Plus over in the Genki English Facebook Group we’re brainstorming some new ideas, so if you’d like to give your input then do join us over there! πŸ™‚
