“Irregular past” and “Don’t forget…!”

Wow, not just one but two brand new printable pdf picture books for you today.

I’ve literally just finished them (after my niece requested extra pages!),  so any comments/feedback is much appreciated.

As usual these are part of the VIP members area.

If you’re not a VIP Member yet, to join grab your Download Pack today.

Ok, here we go…

Funky Fun Grammar Picture Book: Irregular Past & Baby Dinosaur

The first one is part of the upcoming grammar lessons, an irregular past tense verbs book.  (Bit of a mouthful that!)

Featuring the brand new Baby Dinosaur character (do let me know what your kids think of him/her!)…

And of course it has a twist at the end. 🙂

This is the International English version (with “Mummy”, “pyjamas”,  “have a bath” etc.)

If any of you would like a US version (with “Mommy”, “pajamas”, “take a bath” etc.) then let me know in the comments and I’ll see what I can do.

Of course if any Brits would like me to *not* make a USA version, feel free to fight away in the comments! 🙂

(No theme for this yet, but there is a song demo over on the VIP forum.)

Next is ….

Don’t forget … & Summer Clothes

The ever popular Grandma and Baby Monkey return for  “Don’t forget ….” to go with the Summer Clothes theme.

As usual it’s very fun (gotta dig the beards!) but this time there’s an “not happy” end!

I think it’s justified though.

Do let me know if you like it.

And if enough of you request it in the comments I’ll see about adding it to the Summer Clothes software.

Cool, that’s me done for the day, enjoy the books & I’ll see you tomorrow!

Be genki,

Richard

I`m an Aussie, so basically I speak British English. Japan is already inundated with American English so it would be nice to have something different for a change. Therefore I would like to you NOT make an American version 🙂
    Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris, trust an Aussie to stir things up with the very first comment! 🙂

Personally, if I were writing the sentences, I would naturally choose the US spellings. However, I am also willing to model to English teachers that there are more than one correct ways of using English.

I don’t know, lately I feel like it can be more harmful to be accomodating to the English test rules in Japan. 🙂

American please! Simple and polite. 🙂

  5. Margit

    Richard,

pleaaaaaase put them both on the software if you can! I love love love the fruits on the playground, and the end is great, too.

Never mind about this spelling or that, but please please go on and do some more books like the dino one.
It will be so useful in lessons to circle questions and to integrate lots of language.

Gorgeous pictures and simple sentences that the kids can repeat easily- what more could we ask for? Your niece certainly knows what’s needed!
Thanks for these. (And I think the British English version sounds perfectly simple and polite:))

    Hi Richard,
Nice story and pictures. I like the British English spellings but Junior High teachers aren’t so accommodating.
I like Margit’s idea. Please make both versions available if possible.

    Thanks for the great work.

  8. Nena

    Hi Richard,
the books are just GREAT…colorful, easy sentences and fun!
I totally agree with Margit!!!! Please put both versions.
I teach in Italy (the kids are taught British English in school) but it’s nice to show them that both spellings are correct!
    Thanks again!
    Nena

    PS: More books please!!!!!!!

  9. Emmanuelle

    Hello Richard!

I likeds both books a lot!
It even taught me the word ” shades ”

Both versions of the dinosaur story would be great, especially for more advanced students: they could spot the differences and discuss about them.
Does anyone ” study ” the past tense with 7/11 years old?
