Thank you for all your amazing comments on the Gingerbread Man Song.

I’ve just written another one for you – a brand new Christmas Shapes Song!

(If you’re on email and can’t see the video, click here!)

The shapes are just the same as the normal shapes song, just trimmed for the season, with a very cool melody and “I can see a ….”

VIP Members can download the funky mp3 here: Christmas Shapes Song

(UPDATE: The free download offer has now finished, I hope you enjoyed it!)

Plus there are super festive mini cards and A4 flashcards.

So, what do you think?

As usual if you’re not a VIP Member yet, then get your skates on and order your  download pack right now.  You’re going to love it!

P.S.  Nice game is to print out pictures of Christmas trees from google and get the kids to see what shapes they can see!

P.P.S.  If you’ve been extra super nice this year there might also be another new “Let’s Decorate the Christmas Tree” song later in the week. 🙂  If you want to give your input on what words you’d like to see included, head over to the VIP forum now!

You know, my son decided that he’d like to have an i pod for Christmas, after listening to the Gingerbread man song. I mean, he loves all the GE songs, but this one was so impressing for him~~~I told him, that with the Nano, he wouldn’t be able to see the animated version, but he was fine with that. Listening!
I also can’t get it out of my head, I think I’ll vote it for Song number one 2010.
Anyway, this shape song is really cute and nice as well, and I’m sure my kindergarteners will love it.
    Thanks.

I’m very excited about this. It’ll fit perfectly with a class where I introduced the shapes song last week and was planning to do Xmas stuff from this week. Excellent timing, Richard!

In another class I’ve just done ‘I can see….’. It all fits together so well!

Only problem is, I can’t get the mp3 link to work….is it me or a faulty link? On the other hand, I’m more likely to use the video clip (which is great) anyway so maybe it isn’t important.

Hi Richard, I’ve tried to save the mp3 download to my computer but I’m repeatedly asked for my log in details. I fill in the “authentification” request but cannot log in. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I’ve just changed the links. Is it working now?

Hi Richard, if I right click on the mp3 file I still get repeated requests to log in.

I eventually logged in via a different route and then was able to download both Christmas shapes and Shapes mp3 by right clicking and saving to computer. But I couldn’t do it for either of the mp3 files without logging in via a different route.

I clicked on a randon flashcard pdf file from the curriculum to open it, was asked to log in, which I did and it worked.

I could then download the mp3 files without any problems. Thanks.

Thank you again for this nice and usefull Christmas song and pictures.
This week my pupils are going to decorate their Christmas Tree with your shapes. I’m only going to give them orders: cut the square out, glue it on the right side, cut the star aut, stick it on the top of the tree…
    What colour is the square?…
    Where is the circle?
What shapes are on the right? what shapes are on the left?…
    Amazing!
    Richard, You are the best!

    Dear Richard!
    Songs are GREAT!
I wish I can show the animation to my students, but is it possible to download it? (I can only download cards and MP3)
    THANKS a LOT!
    Katya

I’ll see if I can get an iPad/iPhone version up later today!

Cute song. After only listening to the song, I can really see the importance of the animation. It helps you understand the meaning of the words. Without the visuals, the song just seemed much too slow. With the visuals, I found myself looking at the different shapes and guessing which one was next.

OT I just bought a new mac and it looks like I have to download some sort of player for me to view the plug ins and also to even use the USB of GE. Any suggestions on what one I should download?

I was thinking the same thing about the speed of the song, I only went with it because of the feedback on the Xmas colours song!

You need the Flash plugin free from adobe.com

Got it, great. Thanks now it works fine!

    Hallo Richard,
    Great song.:-)
And I really love your “happy shapes”.
Maybe I’ll think of a way to combine shapes and moods e.g. happy triangle, sad triangle, angry triangle….
(This idea has just come to my mind….)
    THANKS A LOT
    Claudia
