You know those mole bashing games we used to see as kids?
Well, why not make it into a game!
1. For the first round put 4 of today’s flashcards ( or minicards) on the floor.
2. Give both players a plastic toy hammer.
3. The teacher says the 4 flashcards ( in full sentences of course) in a random order.
4. The kids then, at the same time, have to race to say out the four items as they hit them with their hammer!
5. The fastest kid wins a point.
6. Sounds too easy? Well next you add in another flash card.
7. Then another.
8. Now you’ll see how fun it becomes as you try to remember and say all 8 in teacher’s order! 🙂
Ninja Tip: If you have enough hammers, e.g. from the $1 store, then put the kids in threes. Two have the hammers, one is the referee.
Do give it a go and let us know what you think in the comments!
P.S. As you might have guessed this was another great game I learnt from the amazing ACET teachers!

Great Game!
Tried it with the Can you speak … lesson. Instead of using hammers we used fly swatters. Lots of speaking practice and fun!
