After the success of last year’s Β “Ninja Bootcamps” (basically where you get to teach in front of everyone!) I’ve decided to move all this summers’ workshops to “Ninja” format.
Doing the 1 day workshops was fine, but the teachers who really weren’t up to standard motivation wise I felt were really hindering you guys, the ones who really want to learn and improve yourselves. Β So in order to get just the best teachers I could either jack up the price to be $1000 per person or go for the 2 day commitment side of things.
So if you still think you’ve got what it takes, join us! Β Here are the details for the Japan gigs and hopefully I’ll have details of one in Russia and other countries soon. Β If you want one in your country, put up a request in the comments!

If you are teaching elementary school age children, I highly recommend these workshops. Although the sessions I attended two summers ago were not “ninja bootcamps”, all kinds of new ideas, teaching methods, and inspiration came my way. Richard was very generous with his time and attentive to the needs of the participants. There is no better way to improve your teaching than to do it in front of other teachers, end of story.
If you’ve got the time and the ambition, go for it!
Ditto Kobekid. I would have given up teaching kids if it hadn’t been for Richard and Genki English.
Hi Richard,
I saw your videos and youtube and immediately bought the teacher’s pack. I am an elementary teacher who specialized in English in the United States. I did the typical grammar, writing, literature studies type curriculum. This is the first time I will be TEFL in China. I am very excited about using your curriculum.Any suggestions?
Will you be teaching in Shanghai or Hangzhou?
Hi Catherine,
Welcome to Genki English! I am hopefully going to get a workshop going in Shanghai at some point (I’m just 90 minutes away at the moment!)
